Musheer Khan rising cricket star

Musheer Khan, making his debut in the under-14 Giles shield tournament at the age of six years, bagged a six-wicket haul in his first match to help his side Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English medium school romp to an innings and 40-run win.

Musheer, who had a forgettable first innings, having contributed only three runs with the bat in his team’s score of 233 and going wicketless, made amends today ending with figures of 8-5-11-6.

Children take up cricket at a very young age in India.
Shailendra Education Society were bowled out for a mere 28 in their second innings as the young boy made a memorable debut with his left-arm spin.

Musheer, who can also bat, is possibly the youngest player to participate in the prestigious city-based inter-school tournament.

Musheer is the younger brother of Sarfaraz Khan, who had hogged the limelight about two years ago by surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s score of 326 not out in the Harris Shield tournament at the age of 12
