Mumbai has two Airports-The Chattrapathi Shivaji International Airport and Santa Cruz  Domestic Airport.At a height of 26 feet above mean sea level, The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport serves as one of India's major international airports. It is also the busiest, currently handleing up to 45 landings and takeoffs per hour.

Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport formerly known as Sahar International Airport is the main Mumbai airport. The airport is situated at a distance of 30 kms from the north of the city and is easily accessible from any part of Mumbai. Spread over an operational area of 1450 acres it is India's biggest International and domestic aviation hub and offers prompt and scheduled flight services.

International Travellers:  the immigration, baggage retrieval and customs areas precede the remainder of the services. Exchange can be obtained at bank counters just outside the customs area. Santa Cruz Airport is one of the busiest domestic airbases in India. This domestic airport connects the state to the rest of the country. The airport covers an area of 384 acres of land and is an elevation of 20 ft. The length of the runway is 3,750 ft. Taxis are available from a policed queue outside the terminal. The departure area has minimal shopping and a snack bar. Phones are available at both arrival and departure. Grand Hyatt Mumbai, Holiday Inn Bombay, Hotel Accord, Centaur Hotel Juhu Beach and Royal Garden Hotel are some of the lodging options available near the airport. Nearest international airport is Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. Bandra Terminus Station and Dadar Central Railway Station are the nearest major railheads.
