Dhanush get strong competition from Navaan Nigam

Kolaveri Di is a big rage and going strong with nearly 16 million hits. Composed by 18-year-old Anirudh Ravichander, the song with funny lyrics is sung in an unconventional manner by Dhanush himself and it will be a part of his next film 3, which is being directed by his wife Aishwayra.

But Dhanush could get some competition from the latest rendition of Kolaveri Di, sung by Song Nigam’s four year old son, Nevaan Nigam. The lyrics however have been altered a little with the lines  - handla glass-u, glass la milk-u, milk-u colour white-u; empty glass-u, mamma come-u, give me milk-u dear-u.” Nigam is seen in the video along with his wife Madhurima, encouraging their son who takes on the microphone with the practised ease of a pro.

‘Kolaveri’, a rage on the internet and elsewhere, is a highly popular slang among Tamil youth, normally used to silence a cranky person in a group.

It is among several Tamil words which youngsters use between themselves without implying actual meaning.

Kolaveri, which means murderous rage, is now popular even in other parts of the country, thanks to the peppy song ‘Why this kolaveri di?’ from upcoming Tamil flick '3'.

The song is a rage among millions of students and youngsters, especially in social networking sites like
Facebook and Twitter and video sharing site of You Tube.

Yen indha kolaveri? (why this murderous rage)’ can be heard in college campuses and other places where youngsters hang around in Tamil Nadu. It is actually used to put off a cranky person in a group.
