Junoon Rock Music Band Back in Mumbai Live Concert 28 April 2012

Back in 1997, hits like Sayonee…created a rage in India and garnered uninterrupted airtime on TV. Now, Junoon, the band that composed the song and other hits like Dosti, Khudi & Yaar Bina Dil will hit the stage in Mumbai on Sunday, April 28th 2012.

South Asia's most successful band of all time, Junoon has a collective total of 18 albums, 7 studio albums, 1 soundtrack, 2 live albums, 4 video albums, 4 compilations and more than 25 million records sold worldwide.

Being the Pioneers of Sufi rock music and considered to be the Subcontinent’s biggest crossover success since the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan by Billboard magazine, Junoon has a cult following in India and so the tour is going to be an absolute feast for all Indian Junoonis.

As part of Junoon's 20th Anniversary Tour, 'Diaspore - Live Media &Entertainment' is exclusively managing their interests in India and hosting Multi-City concerts.

The two-hour long show that aims to attract a crowd of 10,000 will be held at Malad’s Inorbit Mall. Before Junoon gets on stage, an act spearheaded by Hanif Shaikh’s (Paathshala fame) band called ElectroSufiz will perform along with other artistes as the opening acts. Junoon is also scheduled to perform in Pune & Delhi along with the other cities.

The tag line of these concerts are For ‘Peace, Love & Passion’; and is definite to stir a whirlpool of passion amongst the fans, along with spreading a wave of Love and Peace that will reign in the hearts of fans and will be remembered as a legacy. The USP of the show will be an art installation on PEACE, specially created by Filmfare award winning Art Director, Sukant Panigrahy.

Like the Sufi poet Rumi said about love, ‘Although I may try to write about Love, I am rendered helpless; my pen breaks and the paper slips away, at the ineffable place, where Lover, Loving and Loved are one.’ So as in this case as well trying to express the emotions Junoon’s music swells up in all hearts, but one has to be there to believe it!!!
