MUMBAI: Eighty students have qualified in the state for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) this year. Amrutesh Aurangabadkar (Pune) is possibly the highest state ranker, with an all-India rank of 10. The last time acandidate bagged a high rank was when Shravan Hardikar stood seventh in 2005. This year's results of the civil services exam were declared on Friday
The top two slots were taken by Delhi girls. Shena Aggarwal, who has done her MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, stood first in her third go at the UPSC examination.
Rukmani Riar, who had studied in Mumbai, stood second.
Amrutesh Aurangabadkar from Fergusson College, Pune, topped the state and ranked the 10th in the country. Nitika Pawar, also from Maharashtra, stood 18th in the all-India ranking.
