Apple launches new iPhone 4S

IN INDIA: Apple's newer-gen iPhone is finally out, putting at rest all the frenzied rumours floating for past few months. And there is no iPhone 5, The iPhone 4S with Apple's A5 dual core processor (as in iPad2) will be seven times faster than the iPhone 4, at least not for next few months!

The new phone - Apple's first launch since founder Steve Jobs stepped down from CEO's post in August - is expected to raise the benchmark for smartphone manufacturers afresh. However, it failed to dent the overall disappointing sentiments among Apple afficinados and the market alike, leading to a 3 percent pounding down of the Apple stock, a rare first after a product launch.

Feature 4s iphone

iPhone 4S also comes with improved cameras! From a 5MP camera, it now boasts an 8MP camera with autofocus, flash, f/2.4 aperture lens and a backside-illuminated CMOS sensor. In front of the device is a VGA camera for video chats. It is also a dual-band phone that supports GSM and CDMA and HSPA+.

A notable new feature of the Apple iPhone 4S is the voice assistant called Siri. It delivers information or follow commands that you give.

If you’re interested in the iPhone 4S, you can preorder it on October 7. You can purchase it from AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint starting October 14 with prices ranging from $199 to $399 for the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB versions
