Chowpatty Beach in Mumbai
Situated at the northern end of Marine drive, Chowpatty Beach is popular amongst people of all age groups. Every evening, this beach gets stuffed with people, amidst food kiosks, ferry rides, balloon sellers, etc. Indeed, it’s a place where you would love to come after a tiring day to please your taste buds, suck in some fresh air and gradually cooling your heels.Apart from Juhu in the suburbs, Chowpatty is Mumbai’s most famous beach.
This beach is unlike the other beaches. You would not find any bondi or copacabana, topless baling, swimming or hanging at the beach. This beach is clean with decent people around. In the evening there is a magical atmosphere spread everywhere. This beach is a very common gathering place also famous for flirting, countering couples, political rallies, and families. Children love visiting this beach. One can see people from all the age groups at this beach. There in numerous food stalls at the shore of the beach. This beach is a great attraction during Ganesh Chaturthi as all the Ganesh idols immersed in the water of this beach. The snake charmers are a great attraction for the tourists in Mumbai. The merry-go-rounds and the ferry wheels are the main attractions to the children at the beach. The beach has been expended widely so as to touch the Malabar Hill, Gamdevi, Girgaum , and Khetwadi and in the evening. Chowpatty beach, Mumbai is very famous. The beaches in the night looks really assume. The stalls at the night are lit up like the crime scene and reed mats are laid down on the sand. The restaurants outside the beaches are full with the people. The people are always loitering around the beach. You can never see the beach empty. Juhu Beach in Mumbai
This suburban of Juhu is a hot favorite of the Mumbaites. It has plenty of things to offer everyone. Like the Marine Drive's Chowpatty beach , Juhu beach, Mumbai too is a vendor's delight with numerous food counters. This beach is a very superb place to take along kids there as there are amusement parks, play grounds, also open air restaurant and this adds to the fun. There are also camels and horses rides are very much fun. The amusement includes professional masseurs, shooting galleries, and fun rides for kids, contortionists, snake charmers, pony leaders, and monkey trainers. You can see children buying balloons, flowers, seashells, and other trinklets are found here. There are some of the most famous statues found here. The statues of some famous freedom fighters like Lokmanya Tilak are found here. It is very popular among the privileged living in the residential apartments and bungalows in the surrounding area for morning walks. It is not uncommon to see famous celebrities at the beach jogging, or have come just for a walk.

Its downtown counterpart, uptown Juhu Beach is also a bourgeois paradise, filled to the gills with screaming children, courting couples and rowdy adolescents. If you want a more fancy excursion, however, retreat behind Juhu’s many five star hotels, for a steaming cup of coffee and a splendid view of the coast. Gorai Beach in Mumbai
Gorai is a very safe and excellent beach in Mumbai suburbs . A small creek links this beach and it is possible to reach this beach from the mainland of Mumbai crossing the creek. The creek looks very weak and gives an appearance of breaking down. However, this creek is sturdy and serviceable. Accommodation is very easy. There are several hotels where you can stay for few days and enjoy at the beautiful beach. This beach has long wide coast with sun baked sand shore. There are lodges and restaurant to suit all the type of crowd at the Gorai beach, Mumbai . Going to Gorai beach in a ferry is fun. There are ferries run by the BEST. You can take a ferry from the Gorai creek, Borivli West and go to the beach. The Gorai beach is very beautiful and so most of the people get attracted. The beach is completely isolated and exotic. People can be seen everyday in thousands.

Marve & Erangal Beaches in Mumbai
The Marve and the Erangle beache is also called Madh Island Beach The beaches in Mumbai are very popular being beautiful. These beaches are located in such places that the people can easily reach. The Marve and the Erangle beaches are located approximately at about 19 miles away from Mumbai. The beach is located in Malad in the city of Mumbai. This beach is basically situated at the Marve road. This connects the Essel World, amusement park. These beaches are lovely and is fun bathing in sun here. There are five star hotels here and you can spend your weekend here beautifully. There are many more other beaches located in this place like the Aksa, Madh Island, Dhana Pani other than the Marve and Erangle beaches. These beaches have wide shore and so are loved by people. The tourists visit this beach without any doubt. These beaches are where many of the Mumbai's large industrial houses have their great mansions in here. Further the Erangle beach, you can find the fishing village also a fourteenth century fortress. The stony ramparts stand above the waves of the wild sea. These beaches have thousands of tourists visiting every year due to its growing popularity.

Madh Fort is the main attraction other than Madh Island Beach. The fort is also called as Versova Fort. The fort was built by Portuguese rulers. Earlier, it was used as a watchtower and as a base for the ships, which used to do patrolling in the sea. In the late 60′s and in the decade of 70′s the fort was used for the training cadets. There is one more fort present here. It is not that much known because now what you see are only the remains of the fort. It is the sub fort of the Versova fort which was mainly used for storage of food, arms and ammunition. St. Bonaventure church is also a place u can visit. A church will take you into the Portuguese era.

The Marve and Erangle beaches are located in Malad. There are many beaches near this place however, these two are mainly loved.

Versova Beach in Mumbai
Location: North of Juhu Beach, Greater Mumbai
Versova Beach presents a scenic coastline, nestled cozily in Greater Mumbai. It is separated from Juhu Beach, attributable to a creek. The glorious Arabian Sea charge the sandy coast with its cooling waters. Absolutely a fun destination, Versova Beach is residence to the oldest inhabitants of Bombay, the Kolis – a fishing community. One can visit this lovely place anytime round the year, yet months between September and February offers the best time, when the city observes less clamminess. Versova Sea is unlike Marine Drive which is guarded by the tetrapods. Versova beach in Mumbai uses massive rocks to buffer the buildings from the waves. When there is high tide, the whole of the beach goes under water. That is the only reason Versova beach is unlike the Juhu beach.

For the past few years the local citizens and the BMC is trying hard to improve the conditions of the beach. The Save Versova Association was later formed for improving the condition of the beach. The beach still lacks the basic facilities like the lifeguard facility which are necessary for considering the treacherous waters here. There are some houses too in here. Every year some of these homes are washed away by the people due to the floods. However, the people somehow manage to rebuild them somehow. There many good hotels where you can stay and enjoy the beachside view.

Versova beach in Mumbai is a popular beach in Mumbai just like Juhu. Versova is located in the suburb in the Andheri. The village Versova is inhabited by the fishing folk and is situated in the neighboring of the sea beach. In the historical period, Versova was once considered as the ideal port. The Arabs and Portuguese settled here for some period. Portuguese had the possession of this village for quite some time. Later, this village was handed to the Britishers. This beach faces the Arabian Sea and thus looks beautiful. Large population of fishing community lives in this region.
