50% less water supply in Mumbai on 19 Nov

MUMBAI: On November 19, the entire city will face a 24-hour water cut as the supply to the Bhandup Water Treatment Plant will receive 50% less water supply. Therefore, two water pipelines between the Kalher and Kolshet section will remain shut for repairing the main pipeline. BMC will repair water leakage on one of the main pipelines.

In a press note on Wednesday, the civic authorities mentioned that while a majority of the areas in Greater Mumbai will face a 50% water cut, areas at the fag end of the supply system and at elevated locations may experience a 100% water cut from 11 am onwards. The BMC has already announced a water cut on Friday in some areas of Chembur, Kurla and Wadala.
